16+This bill would exempt the Lieutenant General
17+Victor "Brute" Krulak Detachment (#1415) of the Marine
18+Corps League from payment of state sales and use tax
19+and would provide for municipalities and counties to
20+exempt this entity from local sales and use taxes.

1824 Relating to sales and use taxes; to exempt the
1925 Lieutenant General Victor "Brute" Krulak Detachment (#1415) of
2026 the Marine Corps League from payment of state sales and use
21-taxes; to provide for counties and municipalities to exempt
22-this entity from local sales and use taxes; to exempt the
23-National Montford Point Marine Association, Inc. Mobile
24-Chapter #33 from payment of state sales and use taxes; and to
25-provide for counties and municipalities to exempt.

2629 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
2730 Section 1. (a) The Lieutenant General Victor "Brute"
2831 Krulak Detachment (#1415) of the Marine Corps League is exempt
2932 from paying the state portion of any sales and use taxes.
3033 (b) The exemption provided in this section shall not
3134 apply to county or municipal sales or use taxes unless
3235 approved by resolution or ordinance adopted by the local
3336 governing body.
34-Section 2. (a) The National Montford Point Marine
35-Association, Inc. Mobile Chapter #33 is exempt from paying the
36-state portion of any sales and use taxes.
37-(b) The exemption provided in this section shall not
