1717 AN ACT
1818 Relating to St. Clair County; to authorize the St.
1919 Clair County Commission to pay certain former St. Clair County
2020 officials serving in a supernumerary office cost-of-living or
2121 other adjustments in the same manner as the similar payments
2222 are made to retirees of the county under the State Employees'
2323 Retirement System.
2424 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
2525 Section 1. In St. Clair County, the St. Clair County
2626 Commission may grant and pay to each former St. Clair County
2727 sheriff or revenue commissioner serving in a supernumerary
2828 office the same cost-of-living increase or lump-sum payment
2929 paid to retirees of the county who are retired under the State
3030 Employees' Retirement System, provided the payments to the
3131 retirees of the county have been approved by its county
3232 commission. The supernumerary retirement payment shall be
3333 approved and paid under the same terms and conditions as
3434 cost-of-living or lump-sum payments are paid to retirees of
3535 the county only when approved by the county commission for any
3636 fiscal year that the payments are paid to retirees of the
3737 county. The supernumerary retirement payments shall be paid

6969 Section 2. This act shall become effective on June 1,
