17	17	SYNOPSIS:
18	18	This bill would propose an amendment to the
19	19	Constitution of Alabama of 2022, relating to Baldwin
20	20	County to define the Bon Secour Landmark District
21	21	within the county and to prohibit the annexation by
22	22	local law of any property within the district into any
23	23	municipality except under certain conditions.
24	24	A BILL
25	25	TO BE ENTITLED
26	26	AN ACT
27	27	This bill would propose an amendment to the
28	28	Constitution of Alabama of 2022, relating to Baldwin County,
29	29	to define the Bon Secour Landmark District within the county
30	30	and to prohibit the annexation by local law of any property
31	31	within the district into any municipality except under certain
32	32	conditions.
33	33	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
34	34	Section 1. The following amendment to the Constitution
35	35	of Alabama of 2022, is proposed and shall become valid as a
36	36	part of the constitution when all requirements of this act are
37	37	fulfilled:

68	68	to define the Bon Secour Landmark District within the
69	69	county and to prohibit the annexation by local law of any
70	70	property within the district into any municipality except
71	71	under certain conditions.
72	72	Section 2. An election upon the proposed amendment
73	73	shall be held in accordance with Sections 284 and 284.01 of
74	74	the Constitution of Alabama of 2022, and the election laws of
75	75	this state.
76	76	Section 3. The appropriate election official shall
77	77	assign a ballot number for the proposed constitutional
78	78	amendment on the election ballot and shall set forth the
79	79	following description of the substance or subject matter of
80	80	the proposed constitutional amendment:
81	81	"Relating to Baldwin County, proposing an amendment to
82	82	the Constitution of Alabama of 2022, to to define the Bon
83	83	Secour Landmark District within the county and to prohibit the
84	84	annexation by local law of any property within the district
85	85	into any municipality except under certain conditions.
86	86	Proposed by Act ____."
87	87	This description shall be followed by the following
88	88	language:
