	15	+	SYNOPSIS:
	16	+	Under existing law, termination dates are
	17	+	established for enumerated state agencies. The agencies
	18	+	are periodically reviewed by the Alabama Sunset
	19	+	Committee. After the review process is completed, the
	20	+	committee prepares its recommendations for the agencies
	21	+	to the Legislature in the form of sunset bills which
	22	+	either continue, terminate, or continue with
	23	+	modification each agency reviewed.
	24	+	This bill would provide for the continuance of
	25	+	the Board of Heating, Air Conditioning, and
	26	+	Refrigeration Contractors until October 1, 2028.

	28	+	TO BE ENTITLED
	29	+	AN ACT
16	30		Relating to the Alabama Sunset Law; to continue the
17	31		existence and functioning of the Board of Heating, Air
18	32		Conditioning, and Refrigeration Contractors until October 1,
19	33		2028.
20	34		BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
21	35		Section 1. Pursuant to the Alabama Sunset Law, the
22	36		Sunset Committee recommends the continuance of the Board of
23		-	Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Contractors until
24		-	October 1, 2028.
25		-	Section 2. The existence and functioning of the Board
26		-	of Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Contractors,
27		-	created and functioning pursuant to Chapter 31 of Title 34,
28		-	Code of Alabama 1975, is continued, and those code sections
29		-	are expressly preserved.
30		-	Section 3. The Legislature concurs in the
31		-	recommendations of the Sunset Committee as provided in
32		-	Sections 1 and 2.
33		-	Section 4. This act shall become effective June 1,
34		-	2024.
