| 20 | 22 | Section 1. Section 45-48-230.20, Code of Alabama 1975, | |
| 21 | 23 | is amended to read as follows: | |
| 22 | 24 | "ยง45-48-230.20 | |
| 23 | 25 | (a) All employees law enforcement officers of the | |
| 24 | 26 | Marshall County Sheriff's Office who are certified by the | |
| 25 | 27 | Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training Commission | |
| 26 | 28 | shall be required to complete training and continuing | |
| 27 | 29 | education. | |
| 28 | 30 | (b) The training and continuing education shall be | |
| 29 | 31 | outlined by the sheriff and shall meet minimum requirements | |
| 30 | 32 | adopted by the Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training | |
| 31 | 33 | Commission. | |
| 32 | 34 | (c) The training and continuing education shall be | |
| 33 | 35 | funded by the county commission." | |
| 34 | 36 | Section 2. This act shall become effective on October | |
