17+SYNOPSIS:
18+Under existing law, termination dates are
19+established for enumerated state agencies. The agencies
20+are periodically reviewed by the Alabama Sunset
21+Committee. After the review process is completed, the
22+committee prepares its recommendation for the agencies
23+to the Legislature in the form of sunset bills which
24+either continue, terminate, or continue with
25+modification each agency reviewed.
26+This bill would provide for the continuance of
27+the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech-Language
28+Pathology and Audiology until October 1, 2029.

30+TO BE ENTITLED
31+AN ACT
1832 Relating to the Alabama Sunset Law; to continue the
1933 existence and functioning of the Alabama Board of Examiners
2034 for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology until October 1,
2135 2029.
2236 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
2337 Section 1. Pursuant to the Alabama Sunset Law, the
2438 Sunset Committee recommends the continuance of the Alabama
25-Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
26-until October 1, 2029.
27-Section 2. The existence and functioning of the Alabama
28-Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and
29-Audiology, created and functioning pursuant to Sections
30-34-28A-1 to 34-28A-44, inclusive, Code of Alabama 1975, is
31-continued until October 1, 2029, and those code sections are
32-expressly preserved.
33-Section 3. The Legislature concurs in the
34-recommendations of the Sunset Committee as provided in
35-Sections 1 and 2.
36-Section 4. This act shall become effective June 1,
37-2025.
