18		-	Relating to the Alabama Sunset Law; to continue the existence
19		-	and functioning of the Alabama Board of Electrical Contractors

	17	+	SYNOPSIS:
	18	+	Under existing law, termination dates are
	19	+	established for enumerated state agencies. The agencies
	20	+	are periodically reviewed by the Alabama Sunset
	21	+	Committee. After the review process is completed, the
	22	+	committee prepares its recommendation for the agencies
	23	+	to the Legislature in the form of sunset bills which
	24	+	either continue, terminate, or continue with
	25	+	modification each agency reviewed.
	26	+	This bill would provide for the continuance of
	27	+	the Alabama Board of Electrical Contractors until
	28	+	October 1, 2026.

	30	+	TO BE ENTITLED
	31	+	AN ACT
	32	+	Relating to the Alabama Sunset Law; to continue the
	33	+	existence and functioning of the Alabama Board of Electrical
	34	+	Contractors until October 1, 2026.
21	35		BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
22	36		Section 1. Pursuant to the Alabama Sunset Law, the
23	37		Sunset Committee recommends the continuance of the Alabama
24	38		Board of Electrical Contractors until October 1, 2026.
25		-	Section 2. The existence and functioning of the Alabama
26		-	Board of Electrical Contractors, created and functioning
27		-	pursuant to Sections 34-36-1 to 34-36-18, inclusive, Code of
28		-	Alabama 1975, is continued until October 1, 2026, and those
29		-	code sections are expressly preserved.
30		-	Section 3. The Legislature concurs in the
31		-	recommendations of the Sunset Committee as provided in
32		-	Sections 1 and 2.
33		-	Section 4. This act shall become effective June 1,
34		-	2025.
