17	17	SYNOPSIS:
18	18	Under existing law, termination dates are
19	19	established for enumerated state agencies. The agencies
20	20	are periodically reviewed by the Alabama Sunset
21	21	Committee. After the review process is completed, the
22	22	committee prepares its recommendation for the agencies
23	23	to the Legislature in the form of sunset bills which
24	24	either continue, terminate, or continue with
25	25	modification each agency reviewed.
26	26	This bill would provide for the continuance of
27	27	the Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners
28	28	until October 1, 2027.

30	30	TO BE ENTITLED
31	31	AN ACT
32	32	Relating to the Alabama Sunset Law; to continue the
33	33	existence and functioning of the Alabama State Board of
34	34	Veterinary Medical Examiners until October 1, 2027.
35	35	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
36	36	Section 1. Pursuant to the Alabama Sunset Law, the
37	37	Sunset Committee recommends the continuance of the Alabama
38	38	State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners until October 1,

68	68	State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners until October 1,
69	69	2027.
70	70	Section 2. The existence and functioning of the Alabama
71	71	State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners , created and
72	72	functioning pursuant to Sections 34-29-60 to 34-29-135,
73	73	inclusive, Code of Alabama 1975, is continued until October 1,
74	74	2027, and those code sections are expressly preserved.
75	75	Section 3. The Legislature concurs in the
76	76	recommendations of the Sunset Committee as provided in
77	77	Sections 1 and 2.
78	78	Section 4. This act shall become effective June 1,
79	79	2025.
