1616 To make supplemental appropriations from the

2222 To make supplemental appropriations from the Education
2323 Trust Fund Advancement and Technology Fund for the fiscal year
2424 ending September 30, 2025, to the public institutions of
2525 higher education in the amount of $342,125,000, and to the
2626 Department of Education, the Board of Trustees of the Alabama
2727 Institute for Deaf and Blind, the Board of Youth Services
2828 School Districts, the Board of Directors of the Alabama School
2929 of Fine Arts, the Board of Trustees of the Alabama School of
3030 Math and Science, the Board of Trustees of the Alabama School
3131 of Cyber Technology and Engineering, and the Board of Trustees
3232 of the Alabama School of Healthcare Sciences in the amount of
3333 $907,875,000, and to reappropriate unexpended and reverted
3434 funds from the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024 in the
3535 amount of $35,057,322.
3636 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
3737 Section 1. In addition to all other appropriations
3838 heretofore or hereafter made, there is hereby appropriated a

457457 (b) Notwithstanding any other laws to the contrary, the
458458 funds appropriated to the Department of Education by
459459 subsection (a) of this section shall not be expended without
460460 prior approval of the State Superintendent of Education.
461461 (c)(1) The above appropriation for teacher professional
462462 development shall be allocated to the Alabama Department of

489489 development shall be allocated to the Alabama Department of
490490 Education to be distributed to the Ed Farm Classroom of
491491 Tomorrow. These funds will be used by Ed Farm to provide
492492 technology tools and professional development services to
493493 classroom teachers in an effort to improve instruction and
494494 student learning gains. It is the intent of the legislature
495495 that in addition to general programmatic costs, Ed Farm may
496496 also expend funds for software, hardware, administrative
497497 costs, and professional learning services.
498498 (2) The State Superintendent shall provide a report of
499499 the initiative to the Chair of the House Ways and
500500 Means-Education Committee and the Chair of the Senate
501501 Committee on Finance and Taxation-Education no later than
502502 October 1, 2026.
503503 Section 4. Notwithstanding any other provisions of
504504 this act or any other act, in addition to the above
505505 appropriations, $35,057,322 of Advancement and Technology Fund
506506 appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024
507507 to the State Department of Education which were unexpended and
508508 reverted on September 30, 2024 are hereby reappropriated to
509509 the following local boards of education in the following
510510 amounts:
