	15	+	SYNOPSIS:
	16	+	Under existing law, the Board of Pardons and
	17	+	Paroles may not share electronic monitoring GPS data
	18	+	with local law enforcement agencies.
	19	+	This bill would authorize the Board of Pardons
	20	+	and Paroles to share electronic monitoring GPS data
	21	+	with local law enforcement agencies under certain
	22	+	circumstances.

18	26		Relating to pardons and paroles; to add Section
19	27		15-22-26.3 to the Code of Alabama 1975, to authorize the Board
20	28		of Pardons and Paroles to share electronic monitoring GPS data
21		-	~~and relevant biometric data with~~ law enforcement agencies
22		-	~~under certain~~ circumstances.

23	31		BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
24	32		Section 1. Section 15-22-26.3 is added to the Code of
25	33		Alabama 1975, to read as follows:
26	34		§15-22-26.3
27		-	(a) During an active investigation, a law enforcement
28		-	agency may request the Board of Pardons and Paroles for
29		-	probative electronic monitoring GPS data and relevant
30		-	biometric data pertaining to the investigation.
31		-	(b) The Board of Pardons and Paroles may share the
32		-	requested electronic monitoring GPS data and relevant
33		-	biometric data pursuant to subsection (a).
34		-	Section 2. This act shall become effective on October
35		-	1, 2025.
