| 22 | 24 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: | |
| 23 | 25 | Section 1. In St. Clair County, the St. Clair County | |
| 24 | 26 | Commission may grant and pay to each former St. Clair County | |
| 25 | 27 | sheriff or revenue commissioner serving in a supernumerary | |
| 26 | 28 | office the same cost-of-living increase or lump-sum payment | |
| 27 | 29 | paid to retirees of the county who are retired under the State | |
| 28 | 30 | Employees' Retirement System, provided the payments to the | |
| 29 | 31 | retirees of the county have been approved by its county | |
| 30 | 32 | commission. The supernumerary retirement payment shall be | |
| 31 | 33 | approved and paid under the same terms and conditions as | |
| 32 | 34 | cost-of-living or lump-sum payments are paid to retirees of | |
| 33 | 35 | the county only when approved by the county commission for any | |
| 34 | 36 | fiscal year that the payments are paid to retirees of the | |
| 35 | 37 | county. The supernumerary retirement payments shall be paid | |
