| 20 | 20 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: | |
| 21 | 21 | Section 1. In Houston County, any duties of the judge | |
| 22 | 22 | of probate relating to the selling or redeeming of lands for | |
| 23 | 23 | taxes shall be transferred to and performed by the revenue | |
| 24 | 24 | commissioner, and the judge of probate shall be relieved of | |
| 25 | 25 | all related duties. | |
| 26 | 26 | Section 2. This act shall become effective on October | |
| 27 | 27 | 1, 2025. | |
