| 19 | 21 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: | |
| 20 | 22 | Section 1. In Clarke County, in addition to any | |
| 21 | 23 | compensation paid to the coroner by law, the Clarke County | |
| 22 | 24 | Commission may pay any of the actual and necessary expenses | |
| 23 | 25 | for the operation of the office of the coroner, including | |
| 24 | 26 | paying mileage for the use of a personal motor vehicle by the | |
| 25 | 27 | coroner or a deputy coroner and providing a county vehicle for | |
| 26 | 28 | the use of the office, subject to regulation thereof by the | |
| 27 | 29 | county commission. | |
| 28 | 30 | Section 2. This act is remedial and curative and shall | |
| 29 | 31 | be retroactive and apply to any payment of expenses of the | |
| 30 | 32 | coroner's office prior to the effective date of this act. Any | |
| 31 | 33 | such actions of the county commission are ratified and | |
| 32 | 34 | confirmed. | |
| 33 | 35 | Section 3. This act shall be effective immediately. | |
