BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: Section 1. (a) Beginning March 1, 2025, the Coroner of St. Clair County shall receive an additional expense allowance to bring the coroner's total base compensation to three thousand four hundred fifty dollars ($3,450) per month. (b) Beginning January 18, 2027, the base salary for the coroner shall be three thousand four hundred fifty dollars ($3,450) per month. Section 2. Act 131, 1957 Regular Session (Acts 1957, p. 179), Section 2 of Act 2000-560, 2000 Regular Session (Acts 2000, p. 1302), Act 2009-475, 2009 Regular Session (Acts 2009, p. 868), Section 1 of Act 2020-182, 2020 Regular Session, and Section 1 of Act 2024-264, 2024 Regular Session, relating to the compensation and benefits of the coroner, are repealed. Section 3. This act shall be retroactive to March 1, 2025, and any actions taken in accordance with this act beginning March 1, 2025, are ratified and confirmed. Section 4.
