| 25 | 25 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: |

| 26 | 26 | | Section 1. (a) No public K-12 school located in this |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | state may sale, permit the sale of, serve, or provide any food |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | item containing any of the following: |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | (1) Red Dye No. 3 (CAS Reg. No. 16423-68-0). |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | (2) Red Dye No. 40 (CAS Reg. No. 25956-17-6). |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | (3) Yellow Dye No. 5 (CAS Reg. No. 1934-21-0). |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | (4) Yellow Dye No. 6 (CAS Reg. No. 2783-94-0). |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | (5) Blue Dye No. 1 (CAS Reg. No. 3844-45-8). |

| 66 | 66 | | (b) Notwithstanding subsection (a), a public K-12 |

| 68 | 68 | | ingredient listed in subsection (a) as part of a school |

| 69 | 69 | | fundraising event if the sale of the item takes place off of |
|---|
| 70 | 70 | | the school's premises or the sale of the item takes place on |
|---|
| 71 | 71 | | the school's premises at least one-half hour after the end of |
|---|
| 72 | 72 | | the school day. |

| 73 | 73 | | Section 2. This act shall become effective on August 1, |
