1717 AN ACT
1818 Relating to Escambia County; to further provide for
1919 probate court fees.
2020 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
2121 Section 1. (a) The Judge of Probate of Escambia County,
2222 in lieu of the fees prescribed by general law, shall change
2323 and collect the following fees for the following services:
2424 (1) One hundred five dollars ($105) for the probate of
2525 a will.
2626 (2) One hundred five dollars ($105) for administration.
2727 (3) Sixty-five dollars ($65) for name change.
2828 (4) Sixty-five dollars ($65) for legitimation.
2929 (5) One hundred forty-five dollars ($145) for
3030 guardianship.
3131 (6) One hundred forty-five dollars ($145) for
3232 conservatorship.
3333 (7) One hundred twenty-five dollars ($125) for
3434 adoption.
3535 (8) Five dollars ($5) for claims against wills and
3636 estates.
3737 (9) Fifteen dollars ($15) plus five dollars ($5) per

6767 (9) Fifteen dollars ($15) plus five dollars ($5) per

6969 (10) Ten dollars ($10) for indexing.
7070 (11) Thirty dollars ($30) for notary recording.
7171 (12) Twenty-five dollars ($25) for UCC instrument.
7272 (13) Five dollars ($5) for UCC release.
7373 (14) Thirty-five dollars ($35) for plat recording.
7474 (b) Except as provided in subsection (a), the judge of
7575 probate shall continue to charge and collect the service fees
7676 which are prescribed by general law.
7777 Section 2. This act shall become effective on October
7878 1, 2025.
