| 22 | 22 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: |

| 23 | 23 | | Section 1. (a)(1) The Escambia County Commission, prior |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | to December 1, 2025, may levy and provide for the collection |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | of an annual additional motor vehicle license and registration |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | issuance fee in the amount of up to five dollars ($5) on each |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | new registration, transfer, or renewal on any vehicle in the |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | county with the motor vehicle license and registration year |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | commencing on January 1, 2026. |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | (2) The issuance fee authorized by this section may |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | only be for one continuing annual fee of up to five dollars |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | ($5). |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | (3) The county's license issuing official shall collect |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | the issuance fee on each new registration, transfer, or |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | renewal on a vehicle in the county. |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | (4) The issuance fee shall be in addition to all other |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | fees, taxes, or other charges provided for the license and |
|---|
