1717 AN ACT
1818 Relating to Jackson County; to provide for the
1919 compensation of the judge of probate; and to repeal Sections
2020 45-36-83 and 45-36-83.01, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to
2121 the compensation of the Jackson County Judge of Probate
2222 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
2323 Section 1. (a) In Jackson County, beginning October 1,
2424 2025, the salary of the judge of probate shall be one hundred
2525 thirty-two thousand dollars ($132,000) per year payable in
2626 installments from the general fund of the county. The salary
2727 provided in this subsection shall be in lieu of any other
2828 compensation, expense allowance, or fees provided to the judge
2929 of probate prior to October 1, 2025.
3030 (b) In addition to the salary provided under subsection
3131 (a), the judge of probate shall be entitled to the same
3232 uniform increases in compensation, including cost-of-living
3333 increases, that are granted equally after October 1, 2025, to
3434 all county employees of Jackson County, notwithstanding any
3535 provisions of Section 11-2A-4, Code of Alabama 1975, to the
3636 contrary.
