| 22 | 22 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: |

| 23 | 23 | | Section 1. (a) In Jackson County, beginning October 1, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | 2025, the salary of the judge of probate shall be one hundred |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | thirty-two thousand dollars ($132,000) per year payable in |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | installments from the general fund of the county. The salary |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | provided in this subsection shall be in lieu of any other |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | compensation, expense allowance, or fees provided to the judge |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | of probate prior to October 1, 2025. |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | (b) In addition to the salary provided under subsection |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | (a), the judge of probate shall be entitled to the same |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | uniform increases in compensation, including cost-of-living |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | increases, that are granted equally after October 1, 2025, to |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | all county employees of Jackson County, notwithstanding any |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | provisions of Section 11-2A-4, Code of Alabama 1975, to the |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | contrary. |
