-Enrolled, An Act,
SYNOPSIS:
Under existing law, most departments and
agencies of the State of Alabama are required to
account for each item of personal property that is
valued in excess of five hundred dollars. These
inventories are subject to audit on a regular basis by
the State Auditor.
This bill would exempt the personal property in
the use of the Alabama State Port Authority from this
audit requirement.
This bill would also make other, nonsubstantive
changes to the law to accurately reflect current
circumstances and would update the existing code
language to current style.
