18	18	KIMBERLY BETH FANNING VAUGHN.
19	19	WHEREAS, with an overwhelming sense of loss, we mourn
20	20	the death, yet celebrate the life, of our good friend and
21	21	colleague, Kimberly Beth Fanning Vaughn of Huntsville,
22	22	Alabama, whose passing on November 17, 2024, at the age of
23	23	59 years has left a void in the lives of her family and
24	24	friends; a big-hearted and loving wife, mother, and
25	25	grandmother, Kim was known for her gentle nature,
26	26	generosity, and dedication to others; and
27	27	WHEREAS, a remarkable leader, dedicated
28	28	philanthropist, and consummate professional, Kimberly Vaughn
29	29	left an indelible mark as the Madison County Legislative
30	30	Director, tirelessly supporting the county's 14 state
31	31	legislators; her visionary approach, combined with her deep
32	32	commitment to public service and her unwavering dedication
33	33	to her community, has left a lasting legacy of progress and
34	34	positive change; and
35	35	WHEREAS, born at Huntsville Hospital and raised in
36	36	the town of New Hope, Kim graduated from New Hope High
37	37	School in 1983; she married Rex Vaughn of Monrovia on
38	38	February 25, 1989, and together they reared four children,
39	39	all of whom, along with their families, have made Monrovia
40	40	their home; and

71	71	WHEREAS, she built her strong Christian faith from a
72	72	young age, listening to the teachings of her grandfather,
73	73	Reverend Denton Adams, at Killingsworth Cove Baptist Church;
74	74	she later became a devoted member of Gracious Savior Church
75	75	in Monrovia; and
76	76	WHEREAS, of all Kim's gifts, her greatest was her
77	77	remarkable ability to envision what others could not; she
78	78	had a unique talent for transforming the simplest of things
79	79	into something beautiful, whether it was food, clothing,
80	80	having honed her advanced seamstress skills from her
81	81	grandmother, Irene Fanning, or any other project she took
82	82	on; everything Kim touched flourished under her creative
83	83	direction; a prime example of her artistry was the kitchen
84	84	she designed at Providence Baptist Church, where her vision
85	85	came to life in a space that was both functional and
86	86	beautiful; and
87	87	WHEREAS, Kim had a deep love for cooking, not only
88	88	for her family but also for those in need; after the
89	89	devastating tornadoes struck North Alabama on April 27,
90	90	2011, she was called upon to oversee kitchen operations at
91	91	the Monrovia Community Center; for 10 days, she worked
92	92	tirelessly, cooking, cleaning, and serving thousands of
93	93	meals to law enforcement, first responders, and utility
94	94	workers from five states; always with a heart full of
95	95	service, she brought her four children along to help,
96	96	teaching them the true meaning of compassion and community;

127	127	WHEREAS, Kim was intentional, outgoing, and deeply
128	128	service-oriented, with a keen eye for detail; she had a
129	129	natural ability to ease the burdens of others, always going
130	130	the extra mile to help; hospitality and community
131	131	involvement were second nature to her, and she became widely
132	132	known for her unwavering dedication to religious,
133	133	governmental, and civic organizations; whether in service to
134	134	her faith, her community, or those in need, Kim's commitment
135	135	and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone she
136	136	encountered; and
137	137	WHEREAS, of Kim's many beautiful legacies, one stands
138	138	out as simple, powerful, and eternal: She selflessly served
139	139	others in their hour of need; and
140	140	WHEREAS, she was preceded in death by her father,
141	141	Bobby Dean Fanning; father-in-law, Ronald Gray; and
142	142	mother-in-law, Ann Vaughn; and
143	143	WHEREAS, she was greatly loved and admired in life
144	144	and her death is a grievous loss to her family and friends,
145	145	including her beloved husband, Ronald "Rex" Gray Vaughn II;
146	146	children, Carmen Vaughn Bragg (Sean), Hannah Vaughn Creed
147	147	(Kaze), Ellie Vaughn Milby (Cole), and Carl Walton Vaughn
148	148	(Whitney); grandchildren, Gray Michael Bragg, Graham Denton
149	149	Bragg, R.G. Creed, and Marabelle Beth Milby; mother,
150	150	Paulette Adams Fanning; sister, Amanda Fanning Browner
151	151	(Doug); brother, Brad Fanning (Lea); and many in-laws,
152	152	nieces, and nephews; and
153	153	WHEREAS, a valued member of the community and loved
154	154	by many, her passion for life will be remembered fondly; we

189	189	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
190	190	LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the death of Kimberly Beth
191	191	Fanning Vaughn is recorded with deep sadness, and even as we
192	192	mourn her death and the loss it represents to the State of
193	193	Alabama, we also celebrate her life; this resolution is
194	194	offered in highest tribute along with heartfelt sympathy to
195	195	her family by Representative Reynolds, Representative Whitt,
196	196	Representative Daniels, Representative Hall, Representative
197	197	Lands, Representative Lomax, Representative Rigsby, and
