15	15	HR____ HONORING MRS. HARRIET CLARK FOR 40 YEARS OF
16	16	DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, THE
17	17	HUNTSVILLE MADISON COUNTY COMMUNITY, AND THE STATE OF
18	18	ALABAMA.
19	19	WHEREAS, the State of Alabama recognizes and honors
20	20	individuals who have dedicated their lives to public
21	21	service, contributing to the strength and progress of our
22	22	nation and the local community; and
23	23	WHEREAS, Harriet Clark has faithfully served the
24	24	United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command
25	25	(USASMDC) for an outstanding 40 years, demonstrating an
26	26	unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity; and
27	27	WHEREAS, through her dedication, expertise, and
28	28	professionalism, Mrs. Clark has played a vital role in
29	29	advancing the mission of USASMDC, ensuring the security and
30	30	defense of our nation through her contributions; and
31	31	WHEREAS, her work and leadership have had a lasting
32	32	impact on her colleagues, the defense community, and the
33	33	residents of Huntsville, inspiring others to follow in her
34	34	footsteps in public service and national defense; and
35	35	WHEREAS, Mrs. Clark's four decades of government
36	36	service exemplify the highest standards of duty, patriotism,
37	37	and selflessness, leaving behind a legacy that will be
38	38	remembered for years to come; and

69	69	WHEREAS, Mrs. Clark has also dedicated four decades
70	70	to the advancement and well-being of the Huntsville
71	71	Community; she has exemplified unwavering commitment to
72	72	civil rights and social justice through her involvement with
73	73	the National Association for the Advancement of Colored
74	74	People (NAACP); and
75	75	WHEREAS, she has extended her leadership and service
76	76	through active participation in esteemed organizations,
77	77	including The National Coalition of 100 Black Women and The
78	78	Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, also known as "The Boulé"; and
79	79	WHEREAS, her philanthropic endeavors encompass
80	80	support for various charitable causes, notably: the Patricia
81	81	Haley Charity, a Huntsville-based nonprofit providing free
82	82	services and resources to cancer patients, the elderly, and
83	83	families facing financial hardship; Compassion
84	84	International, an organization dedicated to releasing
85	85	children from poverty worldwide; and the Manna House of
86	86	Huntsville, a local initiative involved in programs such as
87	87	providing meals for school children; and
88	88	WHEREAS, Mrs. Clark's leadership has resulted in the
89	89	initiation of vital community projects, the holding of
90	90	significant leadership positions, the receipt of prestigious
91	91	awards, and the influencing of important policy changes, all
92	92	of which have contributed to the betterment of Huntsville
93	93	and its residents; now therefore,
94	94	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
95	95	LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That Harriet Clark is hereby
96	96	recognized and commended for her extraordinary 40 years of

131	131	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this
132	132	resolution be presented to Mrs. Harriet Clark as a token of
133	133	our deepest appreciation and esteem for her four decades of
134	134	distinguished service, which have left an indelible mark on
135	135	the City of Huntsville, the State of Alabama, and our Nation
136	136	that will inspire generations to come.
