15	15	HR___ HONORING MS. BEULAH BALLARD TONEY FOR HER DEDICATION
16	16	TO JUSTICE AND EQUALITY.
17	17	WHEREAS, highest commendations and congratulations
18	18	are herein extended to Ms. Beulah Ballard Toney for her
19	19	relentless fight for justice and equality; and
20	20	WHEREAS, Ms. Toney, a native of Limestone County,
21	21	Alabama, embodies the essence of dedicated service and
22	22	unwavering commitment; a proud alumna of Trinity High
23	23	School, Alabama A&M University, and La Salle University,
24	24	where she studied data processing, her journey has been
25	25	marked by a steadfast pursuit of justice and equality; and
26	26	WHEREAS, Ms. Toney marched alongside fellow activists
27	27	in the Civil Rights Movement in Huntsville, Alabama, where
28	28	her courageous actions helped pave the way for progress and
29	29	social change; and
30	30	WHEREAS, throughout her illustrious career, she has
31	31	exemplified honor, integrity, and distinction, tirelessly
32	32	laboring to uplift communities and champion causes close to
33	33	her heart; despite often operating in the shadows, her
34	34	contributions have left an indelible mark on countless
35	35	lives; and
36	36	WHEREAS, Ms. Toney's accolades include founding the
37	37	Beulah Ballard Toney Scholarship; being named the 2023
38	38	recipient of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Award, Alpha

73	73	WHEREAS, for six decades, Ms. Toney has been a beacon
74	74	of leadership, assuming various, pivotal roles within the
75	75	community; her pioneering spirit and selfless dedication
76	76	have propelled her to the forefront as an unsung hero,
77	77	driving forward the ambitions and aspirations of her
78	78	community; now therefore,
79	79	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
80	80	LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That Ms. Beulah Ballard Toney is
81	81	hereby celebrated for her dedication to justice and equality
82	82	and best wishes are extended for her continued success in
83	83	all future endeavors.
