1515 HR____ CONGRATULATING THE PIKE LIBERAL ARTS SCHOOL
1616 CHEERLEADING SQUAD ON WINNING THE 2025 UCA NATIONAL HIGH
1717 SCHOOL CHEERLEADING CHAMPIONSHIP.
1818 WHEREAS, the Alabama House of Representatives takes
1919 great pride in recognizing outstanding accomplishments by
2020 our state's students and athletes; and
2121 WHEREAS, the Pike Liberal Arts School Cheerleading
2222 Squad achieved remarkable success at the UCA National High
2323 School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC), which was held
2424 from February 7-10, 2025, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports
2525 Complex, Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, Florida, by
2626 winning its second National Championship in school history;
2727 this is a testament to the collective student athletes'
2828 exceptional skill, hard work, and dedication; and
2929 WHEREAS, the squad finished first overall with a
3030 score of 94.3 with zero deductions in the Small Varsity
3131 Division II Gameday Division, beating out 62 other teams
3232 from across the country that competed at Nationals; and
3333 WHEREAS, in addition to winning a national
3434 championship, Pike Varsity Cheer also won the Alabama High
3535 School Athletic Association (AHSAA) Cheerleading
3636 Championship held November 20, 2024, at Bill Harris Arena in
3737 Birmingham, Alabama; and
3838 WHEREAS, to qualify for the state competition, Pike

6868 WHEREAS, to qualify for the state competition, Pike
6969 Cheer competed at the AHSAA South Super Regional in Mobile,
7070 Alabama, November 7, 2024, where they were named the 2A
7171 Champions in the Traditional Division in addition to being
7272 named the 2A Champions for the Game Day Division; and
7373 WHEREAS, the outstanding members of the 2025
7474 championship squad include Captain Sydney Scott, Co-Captain
7575 Allyn Wilson, Nikki Hopper, Kenzie Beth Ray, Caroline
7676 Renfroe, Kinsley Simmons, Heidi Reagan, Allie Booth, Sarah
7777 Sanders, Mary Tyler Webb, Meg Gardner, Ansleigh Kilcrease,
7878 Reagan Sanders, Lucy Webb, and Andie Kate Winegarden; and
7979 WHEREAS, additional regional and state squad members
8080 are Casidee Boone, Sara Gray Baker, Carys Pittman, Addi
8181 Grace Maulden, Julianna Knight, Addi Cox, Molly Kate
8282 Johnson, Ella Kate Kendrick, Elly Rountree, Graelyn Sanders,
8383 Charlee Kate Smith, Chloe Reagan, Annabella Frailey, and
8484 Team Manager Kate Reeves; and
8585 WHEREAS, the team has been expertly coached and
8686 inspired by Head Coach Katie Scott and assistant coaches
8787 Tara Morelock and Brittany Royal, who have provided
8888 unparalleled leadership and encouragement; and
8989 WHEREAS, the Pike Liberal Arts School cheerleaders'
9090 achievements are a tremendous source of pride for their
9191 families, classmates, teachers, principal, and the entire
9292 community, whose dedication and support have played a
9393 crucial role in motivating the squad; now therefore,
9494 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
9595 LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the Pike Liberal Arts School
9696 Cheerleading Squad is hereby commended and congratulated on
