15	15	HR____ COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE JACKSON HIGH SCHOOL
16	16	BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM AND COACHES FOR WINNING THE 2025
17	17	ALABAMA HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION 4A STATE
18	18	CHAMPIONSHIP.
19	19	WHEREAS, we join the students, coaches, parents, and
20	20	faculty at Jackson High School in celebrating the Boys
21	21	Basketball Team's Alabama High School Athletic Association
22	22	(AHSAA) Class 4A State Basketball Championship; and
23	23	WHEREAS, on February 28, 2025, at the BJCC's Legacy
24	24	Arena, the Jackson High School (JHS) Aggies, through
25	25	teamwork, diligence, and an unwavering commitment to
26	26	excellence, took down the Plainview High School Bears,
27	27	44-42, and left Birmingham with the AHSAA coveted Blue Map
28	28	Championship Trophy for the second year in a row; and
29	29	WHEREAS, on a team filled with exceptional athletes,
30	30	several players stood out for their game-changing play;
31	31	tournament MVP Joseph Taylor scored 13 points and had four
32	32	assists and three steals; joining him on the All-Tournament
33	33	Team is Keeyun Chapman, who had 10 points, eight rebounds,
34	34	and two blocked shots; and
35	35	WHEREAS, other notable contributions were made by
36	36	Roderick Hamilton, who scored nine points, and Isaiah
37	37	Gladney, dubbed the "X Factor" for scoring in tough
38	38	situations, who turned a pass from Joseph Taylor into the

68	68	situations, who turned a pass from Joseph Taylor into the
69	69	game-winning basket just before the buzzer sounded; and
70	70	WHEREAS, the JHS Boys Basketball Team has been
71	71	superbly coached and inspired by Head Coach Anthony Hayes
72	72	and assistant coaches Lakendrick Howard and Jimmy Martin,
73	73	Jr.; under their leadership, the players have broadened
74	74	their knowledge of the game, refined their skills in
75	75	execution, and strengthened the school's tradition of
76	76	superior play and true sportsmanship; and
77	77	WHEREAS, special commendations and appreciation are
78	78	also awarded to the team statistician, Trinnia
79	79	McKenzie-Smith; and
80	80	WHEREAS, the talented athletes on the Jackson High
81	81	School Basketball Team are Keeyun Chapman, Isaiah Gladney,
82	82	Daylon Reed, Roderick Hamilton, Jr., Dysen Adams, Joseph
83	83	Taylor, Tobias Crayton, Keimari Bryant, Donnivan Bozeman,
84	84	Mason Jackson, and Landon Duckworth; and
85	85	WHEREAS, the Jackson High School Aggies' noteworthy
86	86	success is a tremendous source of pride for their families,
87	87	classmates, teachers, principal, and the entire community,
88	88	whose dedication and support have played a crucial role in
89	89	motivating the team; now therefore,
90	90	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
91	91	LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the Jackson High School Boys
92	92	Basketball Team and coaches are highly honored and commended
93	93	on earning the 2025 AHSAA Class 4A State Basketball
94	94	Championship Title, and we hereby dedicate this resolution
95	95	to them with utmost admiration, along with best wishes for
96	96	continued success in all future endeavors.
