18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, it is with profound admiration and respect |

19 | 19 | | that we recognize Mrs. Stephanie Lofton Streeter of Mobile, |
---|
20 | 20 | | Alabama, for her numerous years of dedicated public service |
---|
21 | 21 | | to Mobile County and the entire State of Alabama upon the |
---|
22 | 22 | | occasion of her retirement on May 1, 2025, as County |
---|
23 | 23 | | Director for the Mobile County Department of Human Resources |
---|
24 | 24 | | (DHR); and |
---|
25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, as the Mobile County Director of DHR, Mrs. |
---|
26 | 26 | | Streeter has been responsible for approximately four office |
---|
27 | 27 | | locations and 275 employees who provide a wealth of services |
---|
28 | 28 | | and resources for children and families in the Mobile County |
---|
29 | 29 | | community; and |
---|
30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Streeter began her career with Mobile |
---|
31 | 31 | | County DHR in 1999 as a Family Self Sufficiency Case Aide in |
---|
32 | 32 | | the JOBS program, where she assisted welfare recipients in |
---|
33 | 33 | | gaining the tools needed to become gainfully employed |
---|
34 | 34 | | despite any obstacles; through hard work and a passion for |
---|
35 | 35 | | helping families, she has served in many capacities within |
---|
36 | 36 | | the agency, including as a caseworker, supervisor, Choctaw |
---|
37 | 37 | | County DHR Director, Assistant Director in Jefferson County, |
---|
38 | 38 | | Assistant Director in Mobile County, and eventually, Mobile |
---|

77 | 77 | | (SWAPTE) Board, Bishop State Community College Foundation |

78 | 78 | | Board, and the Rotary Club of Mobile; and |

79 | 79 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Streeter earned a Master of Social Work |
---|
80 | 80 | | from the University of Southern Mississippi, a Bachelor of |
---|
81 | 81 | | Science from the University of Mobile, and an Associate of |
---|
82 | 82 | | Science from Bishop State Community College; she is also a |
---|
83 | 83 | | proud graduate of McGill-Toolen High School; and |
---|
84 | 84 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Stephanie Streeter freely admits that |
---|
85 | 85 | | none of these accomplishments would be possible without the |
---|
86 | 86 | | support and constant encouragement of her husband, Tyrone |
---|
87 | 87 | | Streeter, and their daughter, Kelsey Streeter; and |
---|
88 | 88 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Streeter is known throughout Mobile |
---|
89 | 89 | | County for her generosity of time and sacrifice of self, her |
---|
90 | 90 | | tireless work ethic, and her fierce love of the families she |
---|
91 | 91 | | has served for over 25 years; she is loved and respected by |
---|
92 | 92 | | her staff and the community; now therefore, |
