1616 HR____ MOURNING THE UNTIMELY DEATH OF TRAVIS JAVON "WOOTY"
1717 JACKSON.
1818 WHEREAS, the untimely death of Mr. Travis Javon
1919 "Wooty" Jackson of Montgomery, Alabama, on April 11, 2025,
2020 is noted with great sadness and his valuable and
2121 irreplaceable life of 36 years is honored and celebrated ;
2222 loving husband, dedicated father, and successful
2323 businessman, his death leaves a void in the lives of his
2424 family, friends, and his community where he was highly
2525 regarded; and
2626 WHEREAS, Travis Javon Jackson, lovingly known as
2727 "Wooty," was born on April 9, 1989, to the late Patricia and
2828 Sylvester Jackson, Sr.; raised in a faith-filled home,
2929 Travis was nurtured with strong Christian values and
3030 dedicated his life to Christ at a young age; and
3131 WHEREAS, from an early age, Travis displayed an
3232 entrepreneurial spirit, launching his first business in
3333 junior high school as the "Candy Man," selling treats from
3434 his book bag; driven by vision and determination, he was
3535 always focused on rising above his circumstances and
3636 creating a better future for himself and his family; and
3737 WHEREAS, fueled by ambition, perseverance, and a keen
3838 eye for fashion, Travis transformed his passion into purpose
3939 by launching his first business, Rich Life Clothing; he

6969 by launching his first business, Rich Life Clothing; he
7070 later expanded his entrepreneurial reach with the opening of
7171 Rich Life Barber and Cuts, both thriving enterprises that
7272 reflected his ambition, creativity, and dedication to
7373 excellence; and
7474 WHEREAS, On July 7th, 2020, Travis married the love
7575 of his life, Quneisha Brown; their bond was further blessed
7676 with the anticipated arrival of their son, Travis Javon
7777 Jackson, Jr., who will join his older sister, Nakeria, in
7878 carrying forward their father's legacy; and
7979 WHEREAS, Travis was known for his impeccable style,
8080 graceful presence, and infectious love for the dance floor;
8181 he possessed a heart of gold, always ready to help others,
8282 generously offering whatever he had to those in need; he
8383 never met a stranger, and his radiant smile had a way of
8484 lighting up every room he entered; his beautiful soul was
8585 evident in the countless selfless acts of kindness he
8686 extended to his loved ones and his community; and
8787 WHEREAS, he is preceded in death by his parents;
8888 brother, Kasdolyn Jackson; sister, Eureka Jackson;
8989 grandparents, Sophie Tell, Willie Tell, Sr., and Sylvester
9090 Jackson, Sr.; aunt, Earnestine Rice; uncle, Willie Boldin;
9191 and cousins, Courtney Tell, Terrell Tell, and Chanell Tell;

9393 WHEREAS, left to cherish his memory and honor his
9494 legacy are his beloved wife, Quneisha Jackson; daughter,
9595 Nakeria Jackson; unborn son, Travis Javon Jackson, Jr.;
9696 sisters, Sabrina Jackson, Felicia Hamilton (Trey), and
9797 Jasmine Jackson; brothers, Harold Jackson (LaTonya), Willie

132132 WHEREAS,when one so young prematurely loses a life
133133 filled with expectation and promise, his years are
134134 all-the-more-treasured for having been brief; in honoring
135135 Travis in death, we give permanence to his life, and rest
136136 assured that his influence continues in the beloved memories
137137 of his family, f riends, and the community ; now therefore,
138138 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
139139 LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That while grieving the untimely
140140 death of Mr. Travis Javon "Wooty" Jackson, we gratefully
141141 acknowledge the joy and innumerable blessings his life
142142 brought to others, and we offer this resolution to his
143143 family with profound sympathy.
