16	16	HR____ MOURNING THE UNTIMELY DEATH OF TRAVIS JAVON "WOOTY"
17	17	JACKSON.
18	18	WHEREAS, the untimely death of Mr. Travis Javon
19	19	"Wooty" Jackson of Montgomery, Alabama, on April 11, 2025,
20	20	is noted with great sadness and his valuable and
21	21	irreplaceable life of 36 years is honored and celebrated ;
22	22	loving husband, dedicated father, and successful
23	23	businessman, his death leaves a void in the lives of his
24	24	family, friends, and his community where he was highly
25	25	regarded; and
26	26	WHEREAS, Travis Javon Jackson, lovingly known as
27	27	"Wooty," was born on April 9, 1989, to the late Patricia and
28	28	Sylvester Jackson, Sr.; raised in a faith-filled home,
29	29	Travis was nurtured with strong Christian values and
30	30	dedicated his life to Christ at a young age; and
31	31	WHEREAS, from an early age, Travis displayed an
32	32	entrepreneurial spirit, launching his first business in
33	33	junior high school as the "Candy Man," selling treats from
34	34	his book bag; driven by vision and determination, he was
35	35	always focused on rising above his circumstances and
36	36	creating a better future for himself and his family; and
37	37	WHEREAS, fueled by ambition, perseverance, and a keen
38	38	eye for fashion, Travis transformed his passion into purpose
39	39	by launching his first business, Rich Life Clothing; he

70	70	later expanded his entrepreneurial reach with the opening of
71	71	Rich Life Barber and Cuts, both thriving enterprises that
72	72	reflected his ambition, creativity, and dedication to
73	73	excellence; and
74	74	WHEREAS, On July 7th, 2020, Travis married the love
75	75	of his life, Quneisha Brown; their bond was further blessed
76	76	with the anticipated arrival of their son, Travis Javon
77	77	Jackson, Jr., who will join his older sister, Nakeria, in
78	78	carrying forward their father's legacy; and
79	79	WHEREAS, Travis was known for his impeccable style,
80	80	graceful presence, and infectious love for the dance floor;
81	81	he possessed a heart of gold, always ready to help others,
82	82	generously offering whatever he had to those in need; he
83	83	never met a stranger, and his radiant smile had a way of
84	84	lighting up every room he entered; his beautiful soul was
85	85	evident in the countless selfless acts of kindness he
86	86	extended to his loved ones and his community; and
87	87	WHEREAS, he is preceded in death by his parents;
88	88	brother, Kasdolyn Jackson; sister, Eureka Jackson;
89	89	grandparents, Sophie Tell, Willie Tell, Sr., and Sylvester
90	90	Jackson, Sr.; aunt, Earnestine Rice; uncle, Willie Boldin;
91	91	and cousins, Courtney Tell, Terrell Tell, and Chanell Tell;
92	92	and
93	93	WHEREAS, left to cherish his memory and honor his
94	94	legacy are his beloved wife, Quneisha Jackson; daughter,
95	95	Nakeria Jackson; unborn son, Travis Javon Jackson, Jr.;
96	96	sisters, Sabrina Jackson, Felicia Hamilton (Trey), and
97	97	Jasmine Jackson; brothers, Harold Jackson (LaTonya), Willie

132	132	WHEREAS,when one so young prematurely loses a life
133	133	filled with expectation and promise, his years are
134	134	all-the-more-treasured for having been brief; in honoring
135	135	Travis in death, we give permanence to his life, and rest
136	136	assured that his influence continues in the beloved memories
137	137	of his family, f riends, and the community ; now therefore,
138	138	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
139	139	LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That while grieving the untimely
140	140	death of Mr. Travis Javon "Wooty" Jackson, we gratefully
141	141	acknowledge the joy and innumerable blessings his life
142	142	brought to others, and we offer this resolution to his
143	143	family with profound sympathy.
