1515 HR____ MOURNING THE DEATH OF MR. RODNEY RUDOLPH.
1616 WHEREAS, with an overwhelming sense of loss, we mourn
1717 the death, yet celebrate the life, of Mr. Rodney Rudolph of
1818 Lowndes County, Alabama, whose passing on January 28, 2025,
1919 has left a void in the lives of his loving family and
2020 friends and the entire community, where he was highly
2121 regarded; and
2222 WHEREAS, Mr. Rudolph had faithfully served as the
2323 Director of the Lowndes County Emergency Management Agency
2424 (EMA) since 2021, where his leadership and expertise in
2525 emergency response safeguarded the residents of Lowndes
2626 County during natural disasters and crises; and
2727 WHEREAS, Mr. Rudolph's commitment to public service
2828 spanned decades, including his role as the President of the
2929 Lowndes County Association of Volunteer Fire Departments and
3030 his tenure as Director for District 10 of the Alabama
3131 Association of Volunteer Fire Departments, where he worked
3232 tirelessly to ensure that local fire departments were
3333 equipped with the resources needed to protect the community;
3434 and
3535 WHEREAS, Mr. Rudolph was a dedicated advocate for
3636 youth in athletics and education, serving as a long-time
3737 assistant football coach and head softball coach at Central
3838 High School, his alma mater, where he mentored and supported

6868 High School, his alma mater, where he mentored and supported
6969 countless students, leaving an indelible impact on the next
7070 generation; and
7171 WHEREAS, his unwavering faith, as demonstrated in his
7272 words, "God gives me the strength to know what to do and to
7373 get the job accomplished," guided him throughout his life
7474 and service, inspiring those around him with his calm
7575 demeanor and steadfast resolve during times of crisis; and
7676 WHEREAS, Mr. Rudolph's dedication, compassion, and
7777 love for his community were evident in every aspect of his
7878 life, as described by friends, colleagues, and loved ones
7979 who admired his commitment to going above and beyond to
8080 serve others, even during his own personal health struggles;
8181 and
8282 WHEREAS, Mr. Rudolph will be remembered as a loving
8383 son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, as well as a
8484 true pillar of the Lowndes County community, whose legacy of
8585 service, mentorship, and leadership will continue to inspire
8686 for generations to come; now therefore,
8787 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8888 LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the death of Mr. Rodney Rudolph
8989 is recorded with deep sadness, and even as we mourn his
9090 death, we also celebrate his life; this resolution is
9191 offered in highest tribute along with heartfelt sympathy to
9292 his family, whose grief is shared by many.
