HR____ COMMENDING BRENDA SELLERS ON ATTAINING THE RANK OF
EAGLE SCOUT.
WHEREAS, commendations and congratulations are herein
extended to Brenda Sellers from Scout Troop 10G on attaining
the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouts BSA; and
WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout Award, earned by only a
small percentage of Scouts, involves the completion of an
Eagle Scout Project and represents many years of diligence
in pursuit of a worthy goal that brings honor to the Scout,
the troop, and the Scout's family; and 
WHEREAS, Scout Brenda Sellers has demonstrated
exceptional commitment to these principles through her
diligent efforts and determination, culminating in the
attainment of the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout; and 
WHEREAS, Scout Brenda Sellers' Eagle Scout Project
involved assisting The Healing House nonprofit group with
their culinary program for children; she organized
volunteers who helped her install raised garden beds and
assemble picnic tables for group meals, and she presented
the director with a gift card to buy plants in the spring;
this project will help the children at The Healing House to
learn cooking skills, gardening techniques, and healthy
nutrition all in one place; and
WHEREAS, Scout Brenda Sellers has earned 24 Merit

WHEREAS, Scout Brenda Sellers has earned 24 Merit
Badges, including Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship
in the Nation, Citizenship in Society, and Citizenship in
the World, and has earned the Polar Bear Patch twice for
camping in less than 32  Fahrenheit; and
WHEREAS, through the years, Scout Brenda Sellers has
exhibited those hard-earned characteristics of
trustworthiness, self discipline, and good citizenship, all
components of the Scouts BSA program; with the guidance and
support of her Scout leaders, she has earned the esteem of
her community, fellow Scouts, and all Alabamians; now
therefore, 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That we extend our sincere
congratulations to Scout Brenda Sellers and express our deep
appreciation for her outstanding service to the community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this
resolution be provided to Scout Brenda Sellers as an
expression of our admiration for her accomplishments and our
best wishes for continued success in all her future
endeavors.
