| 20 | 22 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: | |
| 21 | 23 | Section 1. (a) Until January 20, 2031, the Mobile | |
| 22 | 24 | County Judge of Probate shall continue to receive the same | |
| 23 | 25 | base annual salary the judge of probate is receiving on | |
| 24 | 26 | February 1, 2025. | |
| 25 | 27 | (b) Beginning June 1, 2025, in addition to the base | |
| 26 | 28 | salary authorized in subsection (a), the judge of probate | |
| 27 | 29 | shall receive an expense allowance of forty-nine thousand | |
| 28 | 30 | dollars ($49,000) per annum, payable in equal monthly | |
| 29 | 31 | installments from the county general fund. | |
| 30 | 32 | (c) Beginning January 20, 2031, the judge of probate's | |
| 31 | 33 | base salary authorized in subsection (a) shall be increased by | |
| 32 | 34 | forty-nine thousand dollars ($49,000) per annum and the | |
| 33 | 35 | expense allowance authorized in subsection (b) is repealed. | |
| 34 | 36 | (d)(1) Beginning June 1, 2025, the judge of probate | |
| 35 | 37 | shall be entitled to all uniform increases in compensation | |
| 36 | - | provided to county employees. | |
| 37 | - | (2) The amount of any uniform increase granted to the | |
| 38 | - | judge of probate shall be based on the judge of probate's | |
