1515 SYNOPSIS:
1616 This bill would provide that any county sales
1717 and use tax authorized by local law, where any portion
1818 of the proceeds is distributed to a county board of
1919 education for capital projects, that portion of the tax
2020 to be distributed to the county board of education for
2121 capital projects may only be levied in areas served by
2222 the county board of education.

2525 AN ACT
2626 Relating to taxation; to further provide for the
2727 collection of certain local sales and use taxes.
2828 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
2929 Section 1. (a) For any county sales and use tax levied
3030 as authorized by local law, where any proceeds are distributed
3131 to a county board of education for capital projects, that
3232 portion of the tax to be distributed to the county board of
3333 education for capital projects may only be levied in areas
3434 served by the county board of education.
3535 (b) If any provision of subsection (a) is rendered
3636 invalid, then any county sales and use tax described in
