A BILL
TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
To alter, rearrange, and extend the boundary lines and
corporate limits of the Town of Paint Rock in Jackson County.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
Section 1. The boundary lines and corporate limits of
the Town of Paint Rock in Jackson County are altered and
rearranged to include within the corporate limits of the
municipality, in addition to the lands now included, all of
the following territory:
TRACT ONE
U.S. Highway 72 and all of the right-of-way of U.S.
Highway 72 from the eastern boundary of the Town of Paint Rock
where the boundary intersects U.S. Highway 72 to the west bank
of the Paint Rock River, all in Jackson County.
TRACT TWO
U.S. Highway 72 and all of the right-of-way of U.S.
Highway 72 from the western boundary of the Town of Paint Rock
where the boundary intersects U.S. Highway 72 to the
centerline of the intersection between U.S. Highway 72 and
Alabama State Route 65, all in Jackson County.
Section 2. In accordance with Section 11-42-6 of the
Code of Alabama 1975, a map showing the proposed territory to
be altered, rearranged, and extended from the Town of Paint

be altered, rearranged, and extended from the Town of Paint
Rock is on file and open to public inspection in the office of
the Judge of Probate in Jackson County, Alabama.
Section 3. This act shall become effective on October
1, 2025.
