25 | 24 | | to relinquish her seat on a Montgomery city bus to a white |

26 | 25 | | male passenger; this act of defiance sparked the Montgomery |

27 | 26 | | Bus Boycott, a pivotal movement led by the African American |
---|
28 | 27 | | community that resulted in the desegregation of Montgomery's |
---|
29 | 28 | | public bus system; and |

30 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Parks demonstrated not only her morals |

31 | 30 | | and ethics relating to discrimination, but also the value of |
