WHEREAS, the Clarksville High School Panthers defeated the Dardanelle 18
High School Sand Lizards 2 -1 to become the 2024 Class 4A Boys Soccer State 19
Champions on May 17, 2024 at the University of Central Arkansas; and 20

WHEREAS, Nathanael Harris gave the Clarksville High School Panthers a 22
1-0 lead in the Class 4A boys state championship game; and 23
24
WHEREAS, Israel De La Rosa sealed a penalty shootout win for the 25
Clarksville High School Panthers 9 -8 in 11 rounds after heading to extra time 26
tied with the Dardanelle High School Sand Lizards; and 27

WHEREAS, the Clarksville High School Panthers were led by Coach Bryan 29
Qualls; and 30

WHEREAS, the Clarksville High School Panthers concluded the season with 32
a record of 12-5-3; and 33

WHEREAS, the Clarksville High School Panthers' victory is a testament 35
to their hard work and dedication, 36 HR1005

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY -FOURTH GENERAL 2
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 3

THAT the House of Representatives recognize the Clarksville High School 5
Panthers as the 2024 Class 4A Boys Soccer S tate Champions. 6

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution shall be 8
provided to Coach Bryan Qualls by the Chief Clerk of the House of 9
Representatives. 10
