2424 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 22

2626 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 9 -15-204(a), concerning a hearing held on a 24
2727 petition for an order of protection, is amended to add an additional 25
2828 subdivision to read as follows: 26
2929 (3) If the court lacks jurisdiction to rule on a petition under 27
3030 § 9-15-201, the court may dismiss a petition for an order of protection 28
3131 through a written order that specifies the basis for the lack of 29
3232 jurisdiction. 30
