| 22 | 20 | | SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 17 -20-303 is amended to read as follows: 18 |

| 24 | 22 | | (a) Any person, firm, or corporation desiring to operate as a barber, 20 |
|---|
| 25 | 23 | | barber student, teacher manager instructor, teacher manager instructor 21 |
|---|
| 26 | 24 | | student, barbershop, barber corporation, or barber school or college shall 22 |
|---|
| 27 | 25 | | file an application for a certificate of registration on a form furnished by 23 |
|---|
| 28 | 26 | | the State Board of Barber Examiners and pay the application fee. 24 |
|---|
| 29 | 27 | | (b) Any person who desires to practice barbering in this state shall 25 |
|---|
| 30 | 28 | | file with the Director of the State Board of Barber Examiners a written 26 |
|---|
| 31 | 29 | | application, duly notarized, with certification of at least one thousand five 27 |
|---|
| 32 | 30 | | hundred (1,500) hours of barber training, together with: 28 |
|---|
| 33 | 31 | | (1) Two (2) identical passport -sized signed photographs; and 29 |
|---|
| 34 | 32 | | (2) A copy of his or her driver’s license or record of state or 30 |
|---|
| 35 | 33 | | federal identification card; and. 31 |
|---|
| 36 | 34 | | (3) A copy of his or her Social Security card. 32 |
|---|
| 37 | 35 | | (c) A barber applying for reciprocity who has an unrevoked and 33 |
|---|
| 38 | 36 | | unexpired license issued by the proper authorities of another state 34 |
|---|
| 39 | 37 | | certifying that he or she has completed a minimum of one thousand five 35 |
|---|
| 45 | 41 | | registration as a registered barber upon making the application as required 1 |

| 46 | 42 | | by this chapter and upon the payment of a reciprocity fee that shall include 2 |
