2323 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 21

2525 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code ยง 25 -19-106(d), concerning public meetings 23
2626 under the Freedom of Information Act of 1967, is amended to read as follows: 24
2727 (d)(1) All officially scheduled, special, and called open public 25
2828 meetings shall be recorded in a manner that allows for the capture of sound, 26
2929 including without limitation: 27
3030 (A) A sound-only recording; 28
3131 (B) A as a video recording with sound and picture ; or 29
3232 (C) A digital or analog broadcast capable of being recorded . 30
3333 (2) A video recording of an open public meeting shall be 31
3434 maintained by a public entity for a minimum of one (1) year from the date of 32
3535 the open public meeting. 33
3636 (3) The video recording shall be maintained in a format that may 34
3737 be reproduced upon a request under this chapter. 35
3838 (4) Subdivisions (d)(1) and (2) of this section do not apply to: 36 HB1836

4747 website no later than twenty -four (24) hours after the public meeting . 7
4848 (B) If a public entity does not have a website, the public 8
4949 entity shall post the video recording of an open public meeting to a social 9
5050 media account created and maintained by the public entity no later than 10
