24	24	BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 22

26	26	SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 6 -10-119, concerning Medicaid billing in 24
27	27	school districts, is amended to add an additional subsection to read as 25
28	28	follows: 26
29	29	(d)(1) A school district may bill the Arkansas Medicaid Program for 27
30	30	healthcare services provided to a student, including without limitation: 28
31	31	(A) Vision screenings; 29
32	32	(B) Hearing screenings; and 30
33	33	(C) Direct nursing services provided by a licensed 31
34	34	healthcare professional to a student under the supervision of a registered 32
35	35	nurse employed by the school district and listed in the student's 33
36	36	individualized health care plan according to § 6 -18-701, including without 34
37	37	limitation to the extent allowed by federal law: 35

42	42	(iii) Carbohydrate counting; 2
43	43	(iv) Catheterization; 3

46	46	(vii) Intramuscular injection; 6
47	47	(viii) Intravascular injection; 7
48	48	(ix) Subcutaneous injection; 8
49	49	(x) Peritoneal dialysis; 9
50	50	(xi) Postural drainage; 10
51	51	(xii) Tracheostomy care; 11
52	52	(xiii) Stoma care; 12
53	53	(xiv) Suctioning; 13
54	54	(xv) Tube feedings; and 14
55	55	(xvi) Wound care. 15
56	56	(2) The reimbursement from the program shall be used by the 16
57	57	school districts solely for school nurse services and salaries. 17

59	59	SECTION 3. Arkansas Code Title 20, Chapter 77, Subchapter 1, is 19
60	60	amended to add an additional section to read as follows: 20
61	61	20-77-154. School district reimbursement. 21
62	62	(a) The Arkansas Medicaid Program shall reimburse a school district 22
63	63	for any of the following healthcare services provided by a licensed 23
64	64	healthcare professional in a school setting to a student who is a 24
65	65	beneficiary: 25
66	66	(1) Vision screenings; 26
67	67	(2) Hearing screenings; and 27
68	68	(3) Direct nursing services provided by a licensed healthcare 28
69	69	professional to a student under the supervision of a registered nurse 29
70	70	employed by the school district and listed in the student's individualized 30
71	71	health care plan according to § 6 -18-701, including without limitation to the 31
72	72	extent allowed by federal law: 32
