2121 WHEREAS, the City of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Visit Bentonville have 19
2222 demonstrated a steadfast commitment to cycling through strategic investments 20
2323 in trails, infrastructure, marketing, and community engagement; and 21

2525 WHEREAS, Bentonville has established itself as a premier global 23
2626 destination for mountain biking, proclaimed in the title of Mountain Biking 24
2727 Capital of the World because of its world -class trail systems, diverse 25
2828 terrain, seamless connectivity, unparalleled accessibility, and innovative 26
2929 cycling initiatives; and 27

3131 WHEREAS, Bentonville, in collaboration with organizations such as City 29
3232 of Bentonville Parks and Recreation, the Runway Group, LLC, Trailblazers, 30
3333 Friends of Arkansas Singletrack, and local businesses, has developed and 31
3434 maintained over eighty (80) miles of trails and has connected its trail 32
3535 systems to over four hundred (400) miles of purpose -built mountain biking 33
3636 trails in the region, contributing to the economic, social, and environmental 34
3737 vitality of the region; and 35

4141 WHEREAS, Bentonville’s investment in cycling infrastructure has 1
4242 fostered a vibrant outdoor recreation industry, attracting visitors, 2

4646 WHEREAS, Bentonville and Visit Bentonville are dedicated to cycling, 6
4747 which has led to national and international recognition in the form of 7
4848 hosting prestigious events, attracting elite athletes, and inspiring 8
4949 communities around the world to invest in active transportation and outdoor 9

5252 WHEREAS, Bentonville’s leadership and partnerships with cycling 12
5353 innovation have influenced city planning, sustainability efforts, and 13
5454 mobility solutions, serving as a model for other communities seeking to 14

5858 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES , THE SENATE CONCURRING 18

7171 community members who have played a pivotal role in this achievement. 31
