21	21	WHEREAS, the City of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Visit Bentonville have 19
22	22	demonstrated a steadfast commitment to cycling through strategic investments 20
23	23	in trails, infrastructure, marketing, and community engagement; and 21

25	25	WHEREAS, Bentonville has established itself as a premier global 23
26	26	destination for mountain biking, proclaimed in the title of Mountain Biking 24
27	27	Capital of the World because of its world -class trail systems, diverse 25
28	28	terrain, seamless connectivity, unparalleled accessibility, and innovative 26
29	29	cycling initiatives; and 27

31	31	WHEREAS, Bentonville, in collaboration with organizations such as City 29
32	32	of Bentonville Parks and Recreation, the Runway Group, LLC, Trailblazers, 30
33	33	Friends of Arkansas Singletrack, and local businesses, has developed and 31
34	34	maintained over eighty (80) miles of trails and has connected its trail 32
35	35	systems to over four hundred (400) miles of purpose -built mountain biking 33
36	36	trails in the region, contributing to the economic, social, and environmental 34
37	37	vitality of the region; and 35

41	41	WHEREAS, Bentonville’s investment in cycling infrastructure has 1
42	42	fostered a vibrant outdoor recreation industry, attracting visitors, 2
43	43	businesses, and events that contribute significantly to tourism, economic 3
44	44	development, and community wellness; and 4

46	46	WHEREAS, Bentonville and Visit Bentonville are dedicated to cycling, 6
47	47	which has led to national and international recognition in the form of 7
48	48	hosting prestigious events, attracting elite athletes, and inspiring 8
49	49	communities around the world to invest in active transportation and outdoor 9

52	52	WHEREAS, Bentonville’s leadership and partnerships with cycling 12
53	53	innovation have influenced city planning, sustainability efforts, and 13
54	54	mobility solutions, serving as a model for other communities seeking to 14
55	55	integrate cycling into their urban and rural landscapes, 15

58	58	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES , THE SENATE CONCURRING 18
59	59	THEREIN, OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 19

61	61	THAT the House of Representatives , the Senate concurring therein, 21
62	62	support the City of Bentonville as it reaffirms its commitment to cycling by 22
63	63	continuing to invest in trail development, community engagement, and 23
64	64	sustainability initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents and 24

67	67	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the House of Representatives , the Senate 27
68	68	concurring therein, support the City of Bentonville as it celebrates its 28
69	69	designation as the Mountain Biking Capital of the World, recognizing the 29
70	70	contributions of trail builders, cycling advocates, local businesses, and 30
71	71	community members who have played a pivotal role in this achievement. 31
