 WHEREAS, St. Bernards Healthcare serves Northeast Arkansas and 20 
Southeast Missouri with cancer care, heart and vascular care, primary care, 21 
emergency services, senior services, women’s and children’s services, 22 
surgical services, and virtual care; and 23 
 24 
 WHEREAS, St. Bernards Healthcare was founded as an independent, 25 
nonprofit, Catholic healthcare system and works to uphold its mission “To 26 
provide Christ-like healing to the community”; and 27 
 28 
  WHEREAS, St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro opened as a six -room 29 
hospital in 1900 and now serves as the largest bed -referral center in East 30 
Arkansas and Southeast Missouri; and 31 
 32 
 WHEREAS, in 2016, the St. Bernards Pregnancy Clinic opened to provide 33 
prenatal services to combat adverse maternal outcomes in eastern Arkansas; 34 
and  35

 WHEREAS, the St. Bernards Pregnancy Clinic's mission is "to provide 1 
vital prenatal and postpartum care to all women, regardless of insurance 2 
status or health history"; and 3

 WHEREAS, in November 2024, St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro 5 
partnered with the Department of Human Services to open the first Maternal 6 
Life360 HOME in the state to serve women with high -risk pregnancies; and 7 
 8 
 WHEREAS, the Maternal Life360 HOME program supports women with high -9 
risk pregnancies who are enrolled in the Arkansas Health and Opportunity for 10 
Me Program and traditional Medicaid through home -visit services during 11 
pregnancy and for up to two (2) years postpartum; and 12 
 13 
 WHEREAS, the program functions not only to improve challenging maternal 14 
outcomes but also to address related social needs like food security and 15 
housing to benefit the long -term health and well -being of women and children, 16 
 17 
NOW THEREFORE, 18 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY -FIFTH GENERAL 19 
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 20

 THAT the House of Representatives honor St. Bernards Medical Center in 22 
Jonesboro for being the first medical facility in the state to open a 23 
Maternal Life360 HOME. 24
