Scott Richardson, Torres, Wooldridge 5 6 7 HOUSE RESOLUTION 8 TO RECOGNIZE MISS AMERICA'S TEEN 2025 PEYTON BOLLING. 9 10 11 Subtitle 12 TO RECOGNIZE MISS AMERICA'S TEEN 2025 13 PEYTON BOLLING. 14 15 WHEREAS, Peyton Bolling of Rogers, Arkansas, made history when she 16 became the first-ever Arkansas contestant to win the Miss America's Teen 17 competition, which was held on January 4, 2025, in Orlando, Florida; and 18 19 WHEREAS, Peyton Bolling is the eighteen -year-old daughter of Colonel 20 Ryan and Patrice Bolling and is a senior at Bentonville High School; and 21 22 WHEREAS, Peyton Bolling was Miss Dogwood’s Teen and represented the 23 Siloam Springs Dogwood Festival before winning the Miss Arkansas' Teen and 24 then the Miss America’s Teen crowns, and her mother was also once Miss 25 Dogwood; and 26 27 WHEREAS, Peyton Bolling is a civics advocate and academic achiever with 28 a passion for service and leadership, and growing up as the daughter of a 29 United States Marine Corps Colonel, she has a deep understanding of the 30 sacrifices military families make and a profound love for her country; and 31 32 WHEREAS, the multiple deployments of Peyton Bolling's father inspired 33 her to engage others in her community, promoting unity, civic participation, 34 and active citizenship; and 35 36 HR1055 2 02/21/2025 2:59:08 PM ADF079 WHEREAS, Peyton Bolling’s journey into leadership began when she was 1 selected as a United States Senate Page in 2023, where she spent five (5) 2 transformative months living and working on the grounds of the United States 3 Capitol in Washington, D.C., gaining firsthand insight into the federal 4 legislative process; and 5 6 WHEREAS, Peyton Bolling's work as a United States Senate Page led her 7 to enter her first Miss America’s Teen preliminary and develop "Civics in 8 Motion", an initiative designed to educate individuals of all ages about the 9 importance of government engagement and community involvement; and 10 11 WHEREAS, as Miss Arkansas' Teen, Peyton Bolling expanded the program 12 and partnered with organizations such as the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, 13 the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce, the National Civics Bee, and the 14 Arkansas Secretary of State; and 15 16 WHEREAS, in addition to her advocacy work, Peyton Bolling created and 17 hosts "Glimpses in Government", an Instagram series that makes the 18 governmental process accessible to teens through interviews with civic 19 leaders at all levels; and 20 21 WHEREAS, Peyton Bolling maintains a 4.2 GPA while enrolled in college 22 courses and serves as the All Student Body Vice President at Bentonville High 23 School, and she has been named an AP National Scholar with Distinction and 24 honored as Arkansas' Military Kid of the Month; and 25 26 WHEREAS, Peyton Bolling is also a National Dancemaker Scholarship 27 winner, a 2024 Arkansas Girls State Senator, and an advocate for youth 28 engagement and voter registration; and 29 30 WHEREAS, as Miss America’s Teen, Peyton Bolling continues to promote 31 "Civics in Motion" while partnering with organizations such as Best Buddies 32 International and the American Heart Association's GO RED For Women and 33 supporting the scholarship program; and 34 35 WHEREAS, Peyton Bolling plans to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Political 36 HR1055 3 02/21/2025 2:59:08 PM ADF079 Science and ultimately pursue a Juris Doctorate at the University of 1 Arkansas, with aspirations to contribute to shaping American governance in 2 Washington, D.C.; and 3 4 WHEREAS, Peyton Bolling’s journey reflects her commitment to service, 5 leadership, and creation of positive change, inspiring others to live as 6 engaged and thoughtful citizens, 7 8 NOW THEREFORE, 9 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY -FIFTH GENERAL 10 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 11 12 THAT the House of Representatives recognize Miss America's Teen 2025 13 Peyton Bolling. 14 15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be 16 presented to Peyton Bolling by the Chief Clerk of the House of 17 Representatives. 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36
