FOR WINNING THE 2024 CLASS 3A STATE 17

WHEREAS, on November 7, 2024, the Maumelle Charter High School Falcons 20
boys' cross country team won their first Class 3A Boys' State Championship at 21
Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs; and 22
23
WHEREAS, the Falcons team won the Class 3A Boys' State Championship 24
with a team score of fifty -six (56); and 25
26
WHEREAS, the Falcons finished with three (3) team members in the top 27
ten (10) and four (4) team members earning All -State Honors; and 28
29
WHEREAS, of one hundred eighty -five (185) total competitors in the 30
Class 3A Boys' State Championship, the following Falcons team members placed 31
as follows: 32
(1) Caleb McFarland finished second; 33
(2) Christian McGill finished sixth; 34
(3) Roth Williamson finished seventh; 35
(4) Griffin Meeks finished eighteenth; and 36 HR1059

(5) Gabe Reed finished twenty -ninth; and 1

WHEREAS, the Falcons team consisted of nine (9) total athletes: Caleb 3
McFarland, Christian McGill, Roth Williamson, Griffin Meeks, Gabe Reed, Jonah 4
Fuller, John Rose, Ethan Toland, and Lukuz Rodriguez; and 5

WHEREAS, the Falcons were led by Head Coach Dalton Diles and Assistant 7
Coach Pam McGill, and the Falcons' athletic director is Tyler Posey; and 8

WHEREAS, Falcons Head Coach Dalton Diles said of the win, "We came up 10
short last year as the runner -up; the guys had this meet circled all year 11
long. Each of them trained hard and always encouraged each other", 12

NOW THEREFORE, 14
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY -FIFTH GENERAL 15
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 16

THAT the House of Representatives commend the Maumelle Charter High 18
School Falcons boys' cross country team for winning the 2024 Class 3A State 19
Championship. 20

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be 22
presented to Head Coach Dalton Diles by the Chief Clerk of the House of 23
Representatives. 24
