ROBINSON HIGH SCHOOL SENATORS 9 BOYS' SWIM TEAM AS THE 2025 CLASS 1A -4A STATE 10 CHAMPIONS. 11 12 13 Subtitle 14 TO RECOGNIZE THE JOE T. ROBINSON HIGH 15 SCHOOL SENATORS BOYS' SWIM TEAM AS THE 16 2025 CLASS 1A-4A STATE CHAMPIONS. 17 18 WHEREAS, in the school's first year to field a team in the sport, the 19 Joe T. Robinson High School Senators boys' swim team won the 2025 class 1A -4A 20 state championship on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Russellville Aquatic 21 Center in Russellville, Arkansas, with two hundred ninety -two (292) total 22 team points; and 23 24 WHEREAS, sophomore Jack Bracey was the highest performing swimmer at 25 the meet with forty (40) total points in individual events and four (4) gold 26 medals for first-place finishes in the two -hundred-yard individual medley, 27 the five-hundred-yard freestyle, the two -hundred-yard freestyle relay, and 28 the two-hundred-yard medley relay, and he earned the team an additional 29 eighty (80) points in the team events; and 30 31 WHEREAS, junior Tate Schultz was the sixth -highest performing swimmer 32 at the meet with thirty -three (33) total points in individual events and two 33 (2) gold medals for first -place finishes in the two -hundred-yard freestyle 34 relay and two-hundred-yard medley relay, a silver medal for his second -place 35 finish in the one-hundred-yard butterfly, and a bronze medal for his third -36 HR1065 2 03/05/2025 9:05:19 AM ADF124 place finish in the one -hundred-yard breaststroke, and he earned the team an 1 additional eighty (80) points in the team events; and 2 3 WHEREAS, sophomore Felippi Markovic was the twentieth highest -4 performing swimmer at the meet with twenty -six (26) total points in 5 individual events and two (2) gold medals for his first -place finishes in the 6 two-hundred-yard freestyle relay and two -hundred-yard medley relay, and he 7 placed sixth in the two -hundred-yard freestyle and the fifty -yard freestyle 8 and earned the team an additional eighty (80) points in the team events; and 9 10 WHEREAS, sophomore Quincey Telford was the twenty -first highest-11 performing swimmer at the meet with twenty -six (26) total points in 12 individual events and two (2) gold medals for first -place finishes in the 13 two-hundred-yard freestyle relay and the two -hundred-yard medley relay, and 14 he placed fifth in the five -hundred-yard freestyle and seventh in the one -15 hundred-yard butterfly and earned the team an additional eighty (80) points 16 in the team events; and 17 18 WHEREAS, freshman Isaac Smith scored twenty -five (25) total points in 19 individual events and placed fifth in the one -hundred-yard backstroke, sixth 20 in the four-hundred-yard freestyle relay, and eighth in the one -hundred-yard 21 breaststroke; and 22 23 WHEREAS, junior Caleb Smith scored seventeen (17) total points in 24 individual events and placed sixth in the four -hundred-yard freestyle relay, 25 seventh in the fifty -yard freestyle, and twelfth in the one -hundred-yard 26 butterfly; and 27 28 WHEREAS, senior John Tait scored thirteen (13) total points in 29 individual events and placed sixth in the four -hundred-yard freestyle relay, 30 tenth in the one-hundred-yard backstroke, and eleventh in the fifty -yard 31 freestyle; and 32 33 WHEREAS, sophomore William Tait scored six (6) total points in 34 individual events and placed sixth in the four -hundred-yard freestyle relay 35 and eleventh in the one -hundred-yard backstroke; and 36 HR1065 3 03/05/2025 9:05:19 AM ADF124 1 WHEREAS, Aidan Scott and Will Lynch traveled with the Senators as relay 2 alternates; and 3 4 WHEREAS, the Senators were led by Head Coach Jackie Bracey and 5 Assistant Coach Juliana De Santi; and 6 7 WHEREAS, team members Jack Bracey and Tate Schultz will compete at the 8 upcoming Speedo Sectionals at the University of Missouri; and 9 10 WHEREAS, Athletic Director Todd Eskola said of the victory, "For a 11 first-year program, the fact that all of these student athletes are 12 exceptional in the classroom and also in the pool is fantastic. To achieve a 13 state championship in the first year of a program is honestly uncharted 14 territory; nobody ever wins in the first year of having a sport. The fact 15 that they are all honors students makes it that much sweeter", 16 17 NOW THEREFORE, 18 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY -FIFTH GENERAL 19 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 20 21 THAT the House of Representatives recognize the Joe T. Robinson High 22 School Senators boys' swim team as the 2025 Class 1A -4A state champions. 23 24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be 25 presented to Head Coach Jackie Bracey by the Chief Clerk of the House of 26 Representatives. 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36
