OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT FOR HER SERVICE TO THE 11

TO RECOGNIZE THE HONORABLE STACEY 16 
ZIMMERMAN UPON THE OCCASION OF HER 17 
RETIREMENT FOR HER SERVICE TO THE STATE 18 
OF ARKANSAS. 19

 WHEREAS, the Honorable Stacey Zimmerman, the longest -serving juvenile 21 
judge serving Madison County and Washington County, Arkansas, has retired 22 
after thirty-four (34) years of service; and 23 
 24 
 WHEREAS, the Honorable Stacey Zimmerman earned her Bachelor of Science 25 
degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas Tech University in 1983, 26 
graduating magna cum laude; and 27 
 28 
 WHEREAS, the Honorable Stacey Zimmerman earned her Doctor of 29 
Jurisprudence with a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from 30 
Texas Tech University in 1986; and 31 
 32 
 WHEREAS, the Honorable Stacey Zimmerman earned her Master of Law degree 33 
in Agricultural Law from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville School of 34 
Law in 1988; and 35

 WHEREAS, the Honorable Stacey Zimmerman maintained a private law 1 
practice in the City of Fayetteville from 1989, and was Deputy Prosecutor 2 
with the Washington County Juvenile Court from 1993 -1998; and 3 
 4 
 WHEREAS, the Honorable Stacey Zimmerman was appointed by then -Governor 5 
Michael Dale "Mike" Huckabee to the Criminal Detention Facility Review 6 
Committee and served as Special Judge for Benton County Juvenile Court; and 7 
 8 
 WHEREAS, the Honorable Stacey Zimmerman has served as volunteer 9 
attorney ad litem for children in Madison County and Washington County; and 10 
 11 
 WHEREAS, the Honorable Stacey Zimmerman was elected as Circuit/Chancery 12 
Judge, Juvenile Division, Fourth Judicial Circuit, Madison County and 13 
Washington County, in November 1998; and 14 
 15 
 WHEREAS, the Honorable Stacey Zimmerman was named one of the Forty 16 
Under Forty by Northwest Arkansas Business Journal in 1999 and is a member of 17 
the Arkansas Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas as well as the Rotary 18 
Club of Fayetteville; and 19 
 20 
 WHEREAS, the Honorable Stacey Zimmerman has served with the Arkansas 21 
Bar Association's Juvenile Law Committee, is a past secretary/treasurer of 22 
the Washington County Bar Association, is a past member of the Washington 23 
County Juvenile Justice Advisory Board, and has participated in the National 24 
Conference on Juvenile Justice; and 25 
 26 
 WHEREAS, the Honorable Stacey Zimmerman is married to Calvin W. Farley, 27 
Vice President of Farley's, Incorporated of Siloam Springs, and they have one 28 
(1) son, Colton, 29 
 30 
NOW THEREFORE, 31 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY -FIFTH GENERAL 32 
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 33

 THAT the House of Representatives recognize the Honorable Stacey 35 
Zimmerman upon the occasion of her retirement for her service to the State of 36    	HR1076

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be 3
