WHEREAS, Arkansas has a strong tradition of energy leadership, and 22
reliable power generation, grid modernization, energy efficiency, nuclear 23
energy, and domestic energy production ensure the state’s energy security, 24
economic growth, and long -term prosperity; and 25

WHEREAS, energy independence is essential to Arkansas’s economic 27
strength, reducing reliance on external energy sources and empowering 28
businesses, farmers, and households with reliable, affordable, and locally 29
generated power; and 30

WHEREAS, advanced energy industries contribute significantly to 32
Arkansas’s economy by attracting investment, supporting agriculture and 33
manufacturing, and providing cost -effective energy solutions to businesses, 34
schools, and municipalities; and 35

WHEREAS, the continued expansion of advanced energy technologies has 1
created thousands of high -quality jobs across Arkansas, stimulating economic 2
development in both urban and rural communities; and 3

WHEREAS, Arkansas recognizes the importance of balancing energy 5
innovation with economic practicality, ensuring that any advancements in 6
energy technology remain affordable, reliable, and beneficial to all 7
Arkansans; and 8

WHEREAS, the adoption of innovative energy solutions aligns with 10
Arkansas’s values of self -reliance, stewardship, and responsible resource 11
management, ensuring a resilient and sustainable energy future for 12
generations to come, 13

NOW THEREFORE, 15
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY -FIFTH GENERAL 16
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 17

THAT the House of Representatives recognize and support the role 19
advanced energy plays in securing energy independence, fostering economic 20
prosperity, and enhancing the state’s energy resilience. 21
