OF SJR 6 AS A THIRD PROPOSED 17
CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT. 18

WHEREAS, Section 19(C) of the Joint Rules of the Ninety -Fifth General 20
Assembly provides that a third proposed constitutional amendment shall not be 21
considered or voted upon by the General Assembly until identical resolutions 22
authorizing the consideration of the proposed constitutional amendment have 23
been approved by an affirmative vote of two -thirds (2/3) of the members 24
elected to each house, 25

NOW THEREFORE, 27
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY -FIFTH GENERAL 28
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 29

THAT Senator King is authorized to pursue the consideration of SJR 6 as 31
a third proposed constitutional amendment for referral to the electors of the 32
state for approval or rejection. 33
