AN ACT TO AMEND THE LAW CONCERNING THE DISCHARGE OF A 9 
FIREARM AT A TRAIN; TO INCREASE THE FINE THAT MAY BE 10 
IMPOSED FOR THE DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM AT A TRAIN OR 11 
FOR THROWING OTHER OBJECTS AT A TRAIN; AND FOR OTHER 12 
PURPOSES.  13

TO AMEND THE LAW CONCERNING THE 17 
DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM AT A TRAIN; AND 18 
TO INCREASE THE FINE THAT MAY BE IMPOSED 19 
FOR THE DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM AT A 20 
TRAIN OR FOR THROWING OTHER OBJECTS AT A 21 
TRAIN. 22

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 24

 SECTION 1.  Arkansas Code ยง 23 -12-804 is amended to read as follows: 26 
 23-12-804. Discharge of firearms or throwing objects at railroad or 27 
street car. 28 
 If any person wantonly, maliciously, or mischievously knowingly 29 
discharges firearms or throws stones, sticks, clubs, or other missiles at, 30 
into, or against any locomotive, railroad car, or street car on any railroad, 31 
upon conviction he or she shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. On 32 
conviction the person shall be punished by a fine of not less than twenty	-33 
five dollars ($25.00) nor more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250) or by 34 
imprisonment in the county jail for not more than three (3) months, or by 35 
both a fine and imprisonment  APPROVED: 2/11/25 36
