2422 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 20

2624 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 27 -67-206(f) and (g), concerning new 22
2725 construction projects of the State Highway Commission, are amended to read as 23
2826 follows: 24
2927 (f) Successful bidders shall be required to furnish a surety bond or 25
3028 bonds by a surety company to be approved by the commission , in a penal sum of 26
31-at least one-fourth (¼) of the amount of the contract price, conditioned as 27
32-the commission may require to ensure that each contract between a bidder and 28
33-the commission is fully executed and completed and that the bond or bonds 29
34-fully cover the exposure of the state . 30
