2624 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 22

2826 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 16 -93-622, as amended by Section 2 of Acts 24
2927 2025, No. 173, is amended to read as follows: 25
3028 16-93-622. Parole or post-release supervision discharge for offenders 26
3129 who are minors — Reinstatement of rights. 27
3230 (a) The Post-Prison Transfer Board may discharge a person from parole 28
3331 or post-release supervision if : 29
3432 (1) The the person: 30
3533 (A)(1) Was released on parole or post -release supervision 31
3634 under § 16-93-621 or any provision of this chapter in which the person's 32
3735 parole or post-release supervision term exceeds five (5) years, for having 33
3836 committed an offense as a minor; and 34
3937 (B)(2) Has served at least five (5) years on parole or 35

4541 (2) The prosecuting attorney in the county where the person was 1
4642 originally convicted has consented to the discharge of the person from parole 2
4743 or post-release supervision. 3
4844 (b) If the board decides to discharge a person under subsection (a) of 4
4945 this section, the board shall notify the prosecuting attorney of the judicial 5
5046 district where the person was convicted. 6
5147 (c)(1) If the prosecuting attorney does not object to the board's 7
5248 decision within sixty (60) days of notification under subsection (b) of this 8
5349 section, the person shall be discharged from parole or post -release 9
5450 supervision. 10
5551 (2) If the prosecuting attorney objects to the board's decision 11
5652 within sixty (60) days of notification under subsection (b) of this section, 12
5753 the person shall not be discharged from parole or post -release supervision. 13
5854 (b)(d) Unless otherwise provided by Arkansas Constitution, Amendment 14
5955 51, a person who has been discharged from parole or post -release supervision 15
6056 under subsection (a) of this section shall have his or her constitutional 16
6157 right to vote restored. 17
