2726 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 24

2928 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code ยง 6 -18-114(b)(5), concerning requirements a 26
3029 public school that operates primarily as a virtual school and that 27
3130 administers a statewide student assessment to a student in a virtual setting 28
3231 must meet, is amended to read as follows: 29
3332 (5)(A) An adult approved in accordance with terms established by 30
3433 the public school that primarily operates as a virtual school and is 31
3534 administering a statewide student assessment to a student in kindergarten 32
3635 through grade eight (K -8) in a virtual setting, including without limitation 33
3736 the student's parent, legal guardian, or person standing in loco parentis to 34
3837 the student, is physically present with the student for the duration of the 35
3938 administration of the statewide student assessment . 36 SB470

4241 (B) An adult approved in accordance with terms established 1

4544 through twelve (9-12) in a virtual setting, including without limitation the 4

4746 student, shall attest prior to the administration of an assessment to the 6
4847 student in a virtual setting that the student and the approved adult shall 7
4948 adhere to all current testing security protocols ; 8
