28	25		BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 23

30	27		SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 6-16-124, concerning the requirement that a 25
31	28		unit of Arkansas history be taught at each elementary grade level in each 26
32	29		elementary school and for one full semester in every secondary school, is 27
33	30		amended to add an additional subsection to read as follows: 28
34	31		(c)(1) Beginning with the 2025 -2026 school year, the division, in 29
35	32		consultation with veterans' organizations, shall develop and implement a unit 30
36	33		within existing Arkansas history course content guidelines under this section 31
37	34		that is dedicated to veterans and their families. 32
38	35		(2) The unit required under subdivision (c)(1) of this section 33
39	36		shall include without limitation: 34
